Saturday 29th September7.30pm Charity Concert. Featuring Gareth Malone's BBC Pitch Battle Winners "Leeds Contemporary Singers" & the Yorkshire Volunteers Band. Saturday 6th October10.00am to 4.00pm Artists’ Day at Selby Abbey. An invitation to all artists to come and visit Selby Abbey for the day and use your skills to record the fascinating detail of craftsmen of earlier generations. Open to artists of all ages and abilities – painters, photographers, sculptors, sketchers etc. Simply turn up on the day with your equipment – no need to book and admission is free. Artist-in-residence, Chris Luker of Cawood Art Club. There will also be an exhibition of works by members of Cawood Art Club. Participants are also invited to bring along examples of their previous work for exhibition on the day. For further information tel. Saturday 6th October7.30pm Generation Groove presents 'Last Night at the Proms' with special guests Steve Cassidy & Community Chorus. An evening of music from the silver screen culminating in a special WW1 and 100 years of the RAF tribute before our Last Night of the Proms finish.
